RESEARCHER

As an oral history society member, Polina Angelova conducted a series of more than 20 interviews with International Curators, Contemporary Designers, witnesses of the Holocaust, Holocaust Survivors and Second-generation Survivors. Her primary research interest is in the memory of the human heart, the ancestral memory, and the memories passed between generations. In her 12 STARS Visual History Series, Polina explores the intergenerational trauma effects within a trauma-centered identity, and the result of the intersection of the ancestral genetic memory and the memory of the heart.
